Steamed PEI Mussels

Put 2 lbs of fresh mussels in a pot with 1/2 cup of cold water or white wine. Cover and steam over high heat for 5-7 minutes, or just until the shells open widely. For added flavor add a chopped onion, a clove of garlic, julienne carrots and celery or some herbs.
